Nightclub: Central S.A.P.C. Opens In Santa Monica
An interesting new club has opened in what used to be the 14Below/Over Under location at 14th Street and Santa Monica Blvd. in Santa Monica. Central S.A.P.C. (www.centralsapc.com) launched in August 2010 as a community meeting center and live music venue. Social Aid & Pleasure Clubs (the S.A.P.C. in the club's name) originated in New Orleans. Their purpose is to unify communities and neighbors with a place to meet and share music. The new club’s concept is to be a space for progressive culture, social activism and globally conscious organizations to hold community meetings, benefits, and rallies, in addition to programming quality indie music & cultivating the electronic scene on the Westside of Los Angeles.
