Wine: Rock 'n Roll Wine Tasting Event at House of Blues Hollywood 9/11/09

If you are a fan of good wine and music, there’s still time to check out the next Rock ‘N Roll Wine event at the Foundation Room at the House of Blues in Hollywood. Scheduled for September 11, the event will feature 15 plus wines, paired with the acoustic rock of singer/songwriter Coffey.

Rock ‘N Roll Wine was founded by sommelier Chris Hammond and business partner Sonny Barton. Their company is dedicated to revolutionizing the way people approach, perceive, and enjoy wine. The partners started in Las Vegas with private-house tastings for friends. They decided to launch a business that was built on the popularity of the tastings. Events were held in famous Vegas venues for people interested in learning about and tasting wine, while matching those wines to different musical genres and specific songs. The guys now produce monthly wine-tasting events in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Ann Arbor, in addition to making their own music-themed line of wines.

The House of Blues event (http://www.rnrwine.com/foundationevent.html) will feature a live performance by Texas born, L. A. resident Coffey (www.myspace.com/coffeyanderson), well known for his appearance on NBC’s hit reality competition show “Nashville Star.” He went on a national tour last year with the three other show finalists, and has completed four albums: “Southern Man,” “Me and You,” “The Inspiration Vol.1,” and “Worship Unplugged 1.”

The Rock ‘N Roll Wine tasting and concert on September 11 will start at 7 p.m. The festivities conclude at 10 p.m. and patrons will be able to remain in the House of Blues Foundation Room for the remainder of the night. Tickets for this event are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. The price includes all live entertainment, wine tasting, and light hors d'oeuvres.
